Come Back Again!
What to bring:
- Enough clothes for 8 days (should be kept casual and comfortable, a washing machine is available at Garrett College if needed)
- Sneakers and/or comfortable closed-toe shoes (for hiking, biking, outdoor activities and general wear)
- Sandals or flipflops (for waterfront activities)
- A bathing suit (you may be canoeing, whitewater rafting and swimming, choose a suit accordingly!)
- A towel (for water activities)
- Sunscreen
- Toiletries (Garrett College Laker Hall does not provide shampoo, conditioner, etc.)
- Hat and/or sunglasses
- A jacket or sweatshirt for our Garrett County cool evenings
Keep in mind:
- Money is not necessary, but you may need some for meals/snacks at airports or on flights (we provide dinner on the day you arrive and breakfast on the day you depart), bring quarters if you would like to use the on-campus washing machines, and feel free to bring spending money for souvenirs, a stop at WalMart, or other cool stuff.
- We have adventure filled days packed with lots of fun outdoor activities, we trust that you will wear appropriate clothes/bathing suits for these occasions so that you can fully participate in activities throughout the week.
- Electronic devices are fine to bring (after all, this is a technology camp) but we prefer you to keep them at Laker Hall to avoid damaging them during activities and keep them from being a distractor.
- You do not need to bring snacks or a water bottle (we will provide three meals a day, an evening snack, and plan to keep energy bars and water bottles available throughout the day).
- As you all should know, tobacco products, alcohol, or weapons are not permitted at any time in any way, shape or form during this camp.
